What Is So Special about My Book on Human Origins?
You may want to check out these sixteen topics most of which are covered rather uniquely in my book New Evidence for Two Human Origins: Discoveries That Reconcile the Bible and Science.1
Revised June 15, 2014; April 30, 2015
Most of this material is not found anywhere else to my knowledge.
1. From the life spans given in Genesis 5 and 11, this book provides mathematical evidence that the descendants of Adam and Eve married into an existing human race. It shows that the life spans of Adam's descendants dropped until the time of their stay at the Tower of Babel and then dropped again, and it dropped just the amount your would predict it to drop. Since we know the approximate
life spans of the pre-Adamites, this life span is calculable. Bar graphs are included that show that the life spans of each generation confirms my theory.
2. It shows from archaeology why the biblical genealogies cannot be stretched to any great amount.
3. It explains from an analysis of the Hebrew wording of the account of the first day of creation that the creation days were not meant to be taken as solar days. And it explains what is meant by the repeated clause concerning evening and morning written at the end of each creation day.
4. It proves syntactical evidence in the appendix that Genesis 2:4 must refer back to Genesis 1 rather than ahead to Genesis 2. And it explains why an accurate paraphrase of Genesis 2:4 would read like this: "These people who have been previously introduced are the descendants of the heavens and the earth when they, the heavens and the earth, were created, in the day when God was fashioning the world in which we live." The Bible explicitly states here that the pre-Adamites, whose creation is recorded in Genesis 1, were "the descendants of the heavens and the earth."
5. My book explains that a Hebrew reader could have understood that Genesis 2:5 moves the narrative on to a time later than the setting for Genesis 1. From this the reader would have known that the creation of Adam and Eve in Genesis 2 is not a retelling of the creation of the pre-Adamites of Genesis 1.
6. It explains in a unique way, from the text, why the book of Genesis should not be interpreted as stating that the flood was universal.
7. It shows why the author of Genesis ordered each of the aspects of creation as he did.
8. It deals with New Testament passages that appear to be contradictory to my model. This includes one whole chapter on Romans 5:12, explaining why this verse does not teach that Adam was the first man on the earth.
9. In regards to Acts 17:26 and 1 Corinthians 11:8, it shows that the use of the Greek preposition ek is limited to the immediate parent when it refers to an ancestor.
10. It gathers data together to support that the whale evolved from a four-legged land animal.
11. It provides a study of the Hebrew word that has been wrongly translated “mist” in Genesis 2. It should have been translated “flow.”
12. It gives an outline of Genesis that shows Genesis 2:5-4:26 is the only portion of the book that is not covered by the label that includes the words “the generations of.” This was because Adam and Eve were not birthed as were the pre-Adamites. They were created directly out of the ground.
13. It notes that the only place in Genesis that uses the phrase "the book of the generations [better tr. "the book of the descendants"] (NASB) is in Genesis 5:1. This is most likely because the reference to "book" indicates completeness; this section of Genesis concerns the pure descendants of Adam, but the great flood violently removed the descendants of Adam and Eve, with the exception of Noah and his family, from the earth. Hence, the author is indicating the completeness of this section of Genesis by calling the generations of Adam a "book."
14. It deals with the origin of flood myths in regard to a local flood scenario. I shows that the flood myths do not require a universal flood.
15. It includes a discussion of the problem of evil with an attempt to throw more light upon this subject through a study of Romans 8-9. The problem of evil has long been a stumbling block for some who would like to believe in the Christian God. I believe God addresses this subject in a helpful manner in the Book of Romans.
16. The 2015 edition of this book includes an appendix that shows why the somewhat popular idea of divine accommodation is not supported by Scripture. Some interpreters of the Bible say that God accommodated the Bible to the cosmology that people believed in that day. They believe that Genesis teaches an incorrect view of the sky and the universe to accommodate the mind of Moses' day. This article shows the error of this view.

Greetings! This is my first comment here so
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to give a quick shout out and tell you I genuinely enjoy reading your posts.
Can you suggest any other blogs/websites/forums that go over
the same subjects? Thanks!
my web-site; pain gone pen ervaringen
Hi Anonymous, I am happy that you enjoy my posts. Concerning other websites. You may want to look down the column to the right of my blog to the sites listed there. Clicking on these will take you to them. The site "Historical Genesis from Adam to Abraham" has other sites on it that look to me to be helpful. You probably will not find most of what is on my blog or in my book anywhere else. My book is very unique. My book is the only publication where you will find a mathematical proof that the descendants of Adam and Eve married into an existing race. Also it is the only place you will find a lot of verses that seem to contradict a dual-origin thesis discussed and answered. Again thank you for your interest. May God bless you in your search for truth and understanding. Jesus is the Way.
